Our Team

The Earlybird Childcare Team is comprised of a highly dedicated and enthusiastic group of early childhood educators and exceeds provincial and municipal regulations in both numbers and qualifications. The early childhood educators are complemented and supported by a management team that reflects many years of experience in the child care field. The commitment of these professionals speaks volumes about our organization.

The Earlybird Childcare Team members are all certified by Alberta Childcare Certification and have first aid training with infant CPR. Our staff members are encouraged to continue their professional development by attending workshops and conferences.

For the children’s safety, all prospective staff and volunteers are required to undergo a criminal record check before being hired.

I have been in the childhood profession for more than twenty years. I dedicated over ten years to the Alberta Association for the Accreditation of Early Learning and Care Services, and was Executive Director in an accredited child care program in Edmonton. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, and completed courses in M.A. in Childhood Education, and Flight: Alberta Early Learning and Care Framework at MacEwan University.  

I believe in nurturing each child’s identity as a mighty learner and valuing play in the lives of young children.

I love spending time with my family, especially with my four lovely grandchildren.
